Paraskevi (Nena) Nikolaidou MD, MSc

Nena is part of Amna Holistic Psychology's team of clinicians conducting Neurodiversity assesments for adults. With extensive clinical experience in Greece and the UK (NHS), she specializes in liaison psychiatry, CBT, ADHD, and addiction treatment. She holds an MSc from the University of Athens, actively trains psychiatry residents, and is a member of the Athens Medical Association and the Hellenic Psychiatric Association.

Paraskevi Nikolaidou

Nena is a Psychiatrist and she has extensive clinical experience in both Greece and the United Kingdom, where she worked in acute psychiatric units and community psychiatry. For three consecutive years, she participated in Balint groups within the NHS, and she has successfully completed components of the MRC Psych examinations of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

She graduated from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Liaison Psychiatry from the same institution, focusing on integrated physical and mental health care. She completed her foundational training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at the University Mental Health Research Institute (UMHRI) and has undergone specialized further training in the diagnosis and management of ADHD in children and adolescents at the 1st Department of Pediatrics of NKUA.

Throughout her professional career, she has worked as a psychiatrist at the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Trust in the United Kingdom. Since 2018, she has been serving as a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Multipurpose Mental Health Unit of Attica (formerly the Psychiatric Hospital of Attica - Dafni). Additionally, she possesses many years of experience in a public specialized alcohol rehabilitation unit, where, as the Scientific Director, she played a pivotal role in the diagnosis, treatment, and integrated care of a large number of patients with alcohol use disorder.

She actively participates in training programs for psychiatry residents and regularly presents papers and lectures at conferences and scientific events. She is a member of the Athens Medical Association and the Hellenic Psychiatric Association.
