Athina Konstantinidi
“We only see the things that happen outside of us... yet in reality, almost everything happens within us.”
Athina Konstantinidi is a licensed Psychologist and CBT Psychotherapist. She graduated with honors from the Psychology department of the University of Indianapolis (B.Sc.) and continued her postgraduate studies in Health Psychology, at Queen Mary University in London.
She has completed her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the European Institute of Psychotherapy and Counselling. As part of her continuing education, she is also attending the annual postgraduate seminar on Clinical Psychopathology Panagiotis Oulis, organised by the Psychiatric Clinic of EKPA in Athens. Athina strives to attend numerous seminars and conferences
as part of her professional development.
During her studies, she gained clinical experience both in public and private mental health institutions and hospitals
(Aiginition Hospital and others), and has acquired significant experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a big spectrum of psychological conditions. Athina has worked alongside the Interdisciplinary Team of the First University Psychiatric Clinic of Aiginition Hospital with patients facing emotional and anxiety disorders, as well as severe psychiatric disorders.
Her clinical experience also includes psychotherapeutic one to one and couple sessions, addressing requests related to
psychological trauma, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, relationship dysfunctions, mental empowerment, and positive self-connection with a focus on self-love and self-care.
Psychotherapeutically, she works with adults on a wide range of mental health difficulties such as anxiety problems, interpersonal relationships, anger, low self-esteem, crisis management, occupational stress, anxiety disorders, low self-confidence, relationship problems, work-related stress, emotional disorders, as well as providing support in relationship difficulties, transitions, and life crises.
She provides therapeutic support across the entire spectrum of mental health difficulties that an individual may face, either temporarily or long-term, such as depression and emotional disorders, anxiety problems, panic attacks, psychosomatic symptoms, trauma, grief, anger management and conflict resolution, grief management, and painful/traumatic experiences.
Athina enjoys continuous professional development, learning new things and staying up to date with developments in her
field. Currently, she works psychotherapeutically with adults applying the Cognitive Behavioral Model. However, she approaches each person holistically. Adaptability is necessary in therapy, and she adapts her therapeutic interventions to the needs, preferences, and personality of each person seeking support. Athina believes a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of therapy, and can be therapeutic in itself.
Athina offers therapy in Greek and English.
